After announcing plans to drop their third album, Junk of the Heart, on September 13, The Kooks have finally unveiled the lonnnnng awaited first single called The Saboteur, which will be released on July 11. Earlier this week, they came up with quite the smart idea to increase their twitter presence by offering more and more bits of this new song with ever tweet made that included #junkoftheheart. You can guess, the song then unlocked in just a few hours!
Perhaps it sounds a bit different from what we're used to listening. In fact, I truly believe it's not the best we've heard from them (or else that my music taste is changing, IDK). Either way, despite the U-turn on their influences, The Kooks are back at full strength, still having a firm grasp on how to write killer hooks and pop songs without compare. They will show us what they are capable of!
